In order to make it easy for you to reach as many politicians as possible with your protest against nuclear war plans, we have made an email tool available for download from this web page.
Click on the button “Download Protest Tool Now” at the end of this text and select the “Save” option in order to download the e-mail tool.
Select “Setup_English” with a double click. A new window opens, containing three files, all called “Setup”. Please do not choose the file with the Notepad symbol but instead, choose one of the other files and open it with a double click. The program will then install the tool on your computer. Click on “Next” to pass the following windows. A white line appears, that turns to blue. When the blue line disappears, close the window.
You should then find the “Stop Nuclear War” tool in your “Start” menu under “Programmes”. Choose the”StopWar” program icon to start the tool. In the following window you will be asked to fill in several lines:
- Your first and last name
- Your e-mail provider: If you do not find your provider in the list, please check the documents you received when you set up your e-mail account.
- Your user name: Fill in your username. If you do not know your user name, please check the documents you received when you set up your e-mail account.
- Your password: Fill in your password. If you do not know it, please check the documents you received when you set up your e-mail account.
Click OK at the bottom of the window in order to confirm the page. The window will close and you will receive the message that the data for a new window are being loaded. Please wait a moment until the new window opens.
In the new window, you will see the following fields:
- Standard text: Here you can read the text of the protest letter you are sending to the political decision takers. This text cannot be modified.
- Personal text: Here you can add additional text to your protest letter and bring additional arguments why you want these politicians to stop their nuclear war plans immediately.
- US politicians: If you click this field, your protest will reach the most important political decision takers in the US . On the right side of the field, you will see a percentage number. This indicates, how many politicians you’ll have already reached. If your first click does not result in the number ”100%”, please click again, until you reach this number.
- German politicians: Here your protest reaches the most important political decision takers in Germany . Click until the percentage number reaches “100%”.
- British politicians: Here your protest will reach the most important political decision takers in Great Britain . Here too, it may be necessary to repeatedly click.
- UN – politicians: Here your protest will reach the most important political decision takers in the UN
- Heads of state: If you click this field, you will not send a protest e-mail, but you will receive the possibility to download the text for a personal letter to the heads of state of the most important countries that are threatening a nuclear war. This is important, so that your protest also reaches these politicians in letter form
